And there this was, just waiting for me. Figured I HAD to buy it today. Like something--someone--was telling me to buy it and buy it now. I swear this place is trying to turn me into a Western historian whether I like it or not. 2/2
🧵Ever feel compelled to buy a book? I've been saying for two weeks that I really need to double down on my Arapaho history. So I'm walking around Laramie (Arapaho country, among others) into this cute old bookstore & I'm ready to leave and then I see a little room marked The West over the entrance.
But i don't wanna learn things
TFW one of your besties ( @phdrachel.bsky.social ) is a suffrage historian so now you have to go learn lady history

Thank you!!!
Pleased to announce that I have learned my third word in Arapaho. I'll get there.
Thank you Naomi!

Who gets remembered? Who gets erased? Join us on Prime Video this Sunday, Oct 11 at 8pm eastern.

Got this weird text from someone claiming to represent someone who is trying to trademark Historians At The Movies for themselves. Don't know if it is legit or just phishing. Weird.
