Physicist & educator Eugénie Cotton was born #OTD in 1881.

A student of Marie Curie, she was the top female physics scholar in France in 1904 & ran the elite École de Sèvres, transforming scientific education for women. Her research focused on the magnetic properties of matter. 🧵
