This was amusing. Also coming on the heels of registration for NFC (if you were able to get your registration approved that is):
Prelim 2027 con schedule (subject to changes/additions): Anthro New England Furnal Equinox Texas Furry Fiesta Anthrocon Furry Migration Midwest Fur Fest MAYBE: Anime Detour Paws and Prairies Anthro So Cal Gateway Fur Meet
PAWAI 2026 art book submission.
Spiritual cleansing.
It's a chaotic movie, but like... the people who worked on it just seemed to have fun making it. I think it's also the first movie I've seen in theatres since like the 2nd Zootopia movie.
I'd love to know why there isn't more talk about "Forgotten Island." After the initial SURGE of hype from trailer featuring the TFing dog, I only saw occasional mentions after the movie came out.
He's right, you know...
Not sure what they do for the locals. I've never had to deal with a worse registration system, in 20 years of con attendance.
I made a video on NFC's registration process at least for 2025.
For 2027 the policy is now "if you did not get a con-block hotel room, we might not approve your registration."
This policy of possibly denying registration to those with out of block hotel rooms or no hotel room is such a bad idea...
Heh even cons 1/5 the size of NFC don't use this convoluted of a registration system...
Wow this is such a bad policy...
Made a video on this 2 days ago
The main reason why NFC is so low on my "fur con rank spreadsheet" (11th out of 14th) is because of their registration system.
The secondary reason is the cost.
Is it a good con? The attendees make it good. Do I recommend it? No. I can't. Not until they replace that registration system.
Such a system should not have been used since day 1. Even for my first con ever, a local anime con in 2006, I used an automatic registration system. A 6000 attendee fur con using a manual registration system in this day and age? Unacceptable.
Best solution is to throw out existing system and start from scratch.
NFC is the only con I have ever been to in 20 years that uses a MANUAL registration system. Every other con is "plug in info, select registration tier, plug in payment info, hit submit." Done. NFC's system failed for me when I registered in 2025 and took 4 days to fix.
So how much is the con rate going to be, and will there be any sort of overflow hotel?
