yes, indeed! anthrocon does a fabulous job (partly because it has so much space to work with) of having a lot of everything for every kind of attendee, and we highly recommend it as a great place for young furries.

we will have more spaces for this sort of thing but it will not be con-wide. we aren't a purely kink event and have lots of adult attendees who don't engage in our mature programming - we intend to try and serve both groups. we will likely have more mature programming and spaces.

if you intend to attend furrydelphia and not engage in anything mature or adult-oriented our goal is still to make that an easy, comfortable, and straightforward experience.

our intention is not in any way to make the con purely adult-focused. we intend to expand the mature offerings at the event in some way without all the constraints, but still intend to have a separate dealers den area for purely mature booths (we just don't have to ID everyone) and so on.

our intention is not to make the entire space adult-oriented or overtly sexual.

there is security, legal, and organizational overhead to allowing minors. additional paperwork for each reg that can be confusing and requires lots of support. huge blocks of time and areas where certain programming can't run. our dealers' den needs to be split and have an ID checkpoint.

nothing "happened." we have been looking at what people do, what they like, and what our most popular events and programming are and realized that we were sacrificing the ability to do lots more things for our core community by not making this decision
