Of course Farnaby is the best
I've just spent a thoroughly enjoyable lazy Sunday afternoon binge-watching Ghosts. I've never watched it before - typically I think I saw half an episode about five years ago and wasn't that keen so never pursued it - but it is brilliant. Why didn't anyone INSIST on me watching it before now?
"Of course we don't watch the BBC in our house. I rang them up and said "I refuse to pay your tax for rubbish that nobody wants to watch anyway" - what did I say Roy?" "You said "Can you send me a tape of Ross Kemp sweating and shouting?""
Nigel Farage once said his favourite sitcoms were The Good Life, Dad's Army and 'Allo 'Allo. Ok, I wouldn't have expected Glam Metal Detectives or The Strange World of Gurney Slade but there is something drearily predictable about his choices.
I hope the top international comedian's material turns out to be like Bernard Right-On's.
An example of the sort of letters the presenter of Police 5 used to receive.
Roger, I've never heard that before (the story, not the recorded guffers) Where did you pick up that fascinating gobbet?
Ah good point
It's someone who's complained in the past, surprised he still listens
I had a message from someone who complained that I brought 'politics' into a recent episode of Goon Pod. Richard Tice was mentioned in passing, we compared him to a strident character in a film who was thoroughly unpleasant "Whilst I enjoy your podcast many of us don't want to be lectured to" (!)
Email from travel operator to say the place I was meant to be going to in two weeks' time currently has a building site next to it.
I see Lorraine Kelly has a new podcast in which she speaks to famous people about their lives. I’m not sure I can get my head around such a risky left field high concept idea.
And excellent podcasts
Tbf even I'd consider becoming a Christian if Jesus actually looked like a Rumbelows Area Sales Manager c.1973
One to set the video for.
What do you get if you cross Terry-Thomas with Psycho? An absolute bloody shower
Remember when we used to laugh at these sad saps?
John, John, John. Thinking is woke, didn't you get the memo?
"Er, it was a good idea of yours Mr Smallbridge, the thing is though I'm actually right-handed."
