Instead of his administration focusing on the price of gas, the cost of food, and millions of people losing their healthcare, Trump is trying to distract voters with baseless lies and smear campaigns in his latest attempt at political intimidation

Let's be clear: this administration is using Ilhan's status as an immigrant as an excuse to investigate and intimidate her. And they are doing this just weeks before the midterm elections, when Ilhan is on the ballot. ..

Ilhan and I were first elected to Congress 8 years ago, in the midst of Trump's first term and in the midst of his attacks against Muslim Americans, Muslim countries, and communities of color. He has demonized the Somali community, especially in Ilhan's home state of Minnesota.

The president should not be able to weaponize the federal government against his political enemies.  Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security just raided the home of my sister-in-service Ilhan Omar. This is what a fascist police state looks like.
