I'm a big fan of bloom filters. Wrote a CSS2 spellchecker in 1kb for a code golfing competition with a trivial little bloom filter. Some old version of Angular.js used bloom filters to figure out where things are in component tree faster. They almost got me with that, but I managed to stay away 😛
