Unintended consequences. According to cloudfare, the targeting of Yandex data centres by Ukraine has resulted in a massive drop in russian bots. Could this have an impact on the American mid term elections?

So what I'm hearing is we need to save ours in bottles and recycle responsibly?

Not sure if I'm getting the logic right here, but doesn't the logic go that if he didn't hire killers, then he wouldn't have employees who kill people, and then he wouldn't need the stress ball?

I played it for my sister and I think I was far more amused than she was.

Oh they tangled over that too, it was an even more blatant violation of the agreement. But that didn't happen in October and I needed something to date Oct 8. The lawsuit over the IIgs settled on Oct 9 so I called it close enough.

Apple Records and Apple Computer tangled over trademark infringement, settling when Apple agreed to stay out of the music business. But then Apple released the Apple IIgs with an Ensoniq synthesizer in it, so Apple Records sued. dfarq.homeip.net/when-apple-r... #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing

I think all phones should answer unidentified callers by playing this song. Is that too much to ask? www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q6Y...

I hope Copperman's last words to Gould were, "Well at least I own and know how to fly my plane."

The Amiga tank mouse was a hot seller at $5? I bet! It's worth a lot more than that today!

Oh I know what you mean, some dot matrix printers would wake up your neighbors. This one was quiet because it was a thermal printer, but that meant it needed special (and expensive) paper.

39 years ago, Commodore hired former Compaq executive Max Toy to turn the company around. Was he just another two-years-and-done Commodore president, or was there something different about him? dfarq.homeip.net/max-toy-emba... #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing

I'm sorry I wasn't able to tune in (I was moderating a webinar at the time). Your topic was more interesting than mine!

I had that $49.95 printer. It wasn't great. But it was $50 and advertised widely. There may have been cheaper printers on the market but you had to look hard to find them.

Yes to all that, and use Firefox, not another Chromium-based browser. That way you're not running any Google-written code.

It's worth testing the old ones, sometimes they are better than their would-be replacements.
