Every day since this tragedy, I’ve worked to end all the suffering, bring real peace and security to Israelis and Palestinians, and stop antisemitism and hatred of all kinds. I still think this is possible and will keep working until it’s a reality.

AI could cause massive job displacement and create a huge wealth transfer from the bottom to the top. That’s why I co-lead a bill (the AI Tax and Work Protection Act) to tax big AI companies more in order to fund programs to protect jobs and retrain workers.

We can’t “win” the AI race if no one trusts these AI systems enough to adopt them or if they hurt people who use them. We need enforceable rules that make AI systems transparent and safe – and hold these companies accountable. “Self-policing” won’t get us there.
