Those things can both be problems, and they might well be. But they are different problems than "not getting shots", and we should be a little more precise.

All the palaver about the sens "not getting shots" is very misleading, and another reason to stop using "shot" to mean "shot on goal" when you mean "shot". Sens had lots of chances, took lots of shots, but the predators blocked plenty and the sens missed a fair few besides.

Rest in peace to Kinger, and it was a legitimate insight back when, but nobody needs it anymore. You can just say "damn, that guy doesn't get any saves" or "that team's shooters are good but they aren't THIS good" or whatever you want to say. Society has evolved past the need for PDO [unironic].

PDO is not a thing but last year they were tight defensively, and that combined with not having too many other weaknesses to make an average team, and they had an average sort of season.
