Look at my children. All grown up and ready to go out into the world. Truly one of the strangest sets I’ve ever worked on. #MTGxDarkhold

Rather than a board game proper, round 4 for me was actually a sweet Vintage Cube. I was a little out of my depth, but I managed to cobble together a fun RG aggro deck. Ended 1-2, but I did get to borrow my opponent’s reanimated Griselbrand for my one win.
I took third in Splendor Duel (it was four players, round robin), so my quest to not get last once was a success. In the fast game round (aka the “some luck would be nice” round), I actually got my first first: Magical Athlete.
Game 1: Harmonies. Super fun game. Not too intensive. Lovely opponents. Anyway, my quest continues in round 2.
Getting ready for the Lion in Seattle, a 28-person board game tournament featuring a few of the best board game players in the world. I am perhaps not the best board game player in my house. Hoping to not get last just one time.

I forgot to do the alt text. Alt text: Fog.
Not sure this picture really captures it, but suffice it to say, combat damage is being prevented around the office today.
Arya works very hard behind the scenes to put this fundraiser together, and while I think that "custom Phyrexian translations" is an obvious trap you should be wary of (kidding... I hope?), this is a great event worthy of your attention and a few dollars if you're so inclined.
"Fun." 😉 Even before my time. I didn't start with Wizards until 2007 and wasn't involved with rules until a bit later.
There was so much yelling...
It’s not a trade I wanted to have to make, but I’d do it again every time. I receive: One amazing hockey viewing experience. Ursula, the Sea Witch receives: One voice.
I assume the sign is fair game. I was full after the Seattle dog so I I did not try to eat it.
Maybe we should all place a higher priority on getting priority more often.
Brain, I know we're excited about going to see the Golden Knights tonight, but I need you to focus on Magic cards for like two more hours. Then we'll hockey. I swear.
The number of things that just can’t happen that just happen to this team…
Some sort of Knight Games parody act? Does Matt Mercer know about this?
Wouldn't have been surprised if Merrill hit a ball-don't-lie homer there, but as we all know, the ball lies all the time.
I've been watching baseball since I was eight and I've never seen anything like what's going in in Milwaukee. As a rules nerd, this is the best.
Yes, but not in about 20 years.
