More Halloween decorating :)

I've already got some fun stuff planned for November and Christmas themed streams in December too :)

I often feel bad because it's so clearly below the skill and experience level of many of the vtuber backgrounds I see out there. But I can still be proud that it was my first earnest attempt at making a background/room scene. It took me so many hours and it's not perfect and still. It was worth it.

I just watched a video about someone being concerned at how low tolerance people are for being in a place where they kinda suck tits at something. Because that's how it is when you're learning. It takes time and active effort to learn. When I look at the drawing I did of the rabbit's foot--

I am still struggling to put out the channel intro that I want to make because I'm not as confident in my skills in script reading. I know the scripts I do are kinda cringe and not to professional. But I CAN'T get where I wanna be without being here first.

ALSO I FORGOT TO SAY A BIG ONE: You have to put out "trash" before you can put out treasure. I'm not a fan of getting you to call your own work trash but what this does mean if you need to actively make things that are imperfect or "low skill" in order to refine your skills. I am still learning this

Of course if you genuinely don't find yourself caring how much attention something gets by all means put your whole heart and soul into something. But just understand the social media environment is not about how hard you worked or how good your thing is. Your value isn't in these numbers.

Also if you're getting into streaming do not feel afraid to just buy assets if you can afford it (there's a lot of cheap ones!) or use free ones. Do not put all your money and energy into making it perfect before you know if you like it.

So this is to say don't take it too personally. I think we have to learn how to manage our passion projects vs smaller, low effort projects that help people get to know us. I'm really hoping to do a lore animatic but until then smaller projects will help bring ppl in.

- If you use all of your energy making your passion project before you make smaller projects or advertising your characters or concept, you might make the coolest thing ever and it may not get any traction at all. - overall the things you think might get the most attention have a good chance of not

The unholy hard truths of being creative online, based on experience (mine & others): - the sex thing will probably always get more attention even if you're genuinely amazing at the other thing - that stupid meme you made in 20 minutes will get more love than your passion project of 2 weeks

I feel so great after Halloween kickoff stream honestly. I'm excited for what's to come :3
