I can't say I really get the point of playing on these either, but Ryan got one of these and has been playing PS2 games on it. So evidently the appeal is that it's a general emulation machine with a dual screen form factor.

I want to check out Demon Tides, seeing as I liked Bubsy 4D well enough and they're basically brother and sister games. I wanted to finish Demon Turf first, but two worlds in and the platforming still feels really stiff. I keep reading Redditors compliment the movement, and I really don't see it.

This is after one computer refused to download RSAT altogether, and the error message in its entirety was "couldn't add." Real helpful stuff.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 6:50 AM

I'm trying to set up RSAT to remotely manage a VM server for an assignment. I've followed every guide I can find to the letter and WinRM just refuses to work. And the error messages are either telling me to do what I'm already doing or are just generally vague.

Microsoft Useful Error Message Challenge (impossible)

I should have probably said "free and open source" instead of freeware. But the Nintendo mini consoles are in fact Linux boxes.

Reprinting old games would hypothetically be more possible, depending. Atlus actually did a new printing of Persona 3 and 4 for PS2 at some point. They are signficiantly cheaper than copies from the original print run. But they also use DVDs, which are still being widely produced.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 12:46 AM

In all likelihood it would be *more* expensive, since certain parts aren't manufactured any more. You'd have to convince the hardware makers to produce those parts again, which they likely wouldn't do. It's way easier to just emulate the games in a freeware Linux distro.

Both sides are blurry? I don't get it.

Elise, judging by your posts I think you might be having a weird day.

As a creator, it's easy to fixate only on my mistakes and things I should have done differently. As they say, we are our own harshest critics. I can't respond to every comment, but please know that I appreciate every single one of them.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialSep 30, 2026, 6:35 AM

It was especially interesting to read comments from my younger viewers telling me about the ways my videos shaped the way they think about and discuss games, and inspired them to make their own videos. I didn't realize I had that kind of impact.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialSep 30, 2026, 6:35 AM

I want to thank you all for sharing your comments here, on the new review, and on the explainer vlog. After being away from reviews for so long, I wasn't sure what the response would be to a new video. I never anticipated such an outpouring of support. I am truly touched by all your kind words.

I'll be sure to take a peek at it sometime. I'm always up for some DKC music discussion.

It's especially frustrating because I specifically rerendered the audio track for all 26 segments individually and remuxed them with the video track before concatenating the final videi to fix issues like this. It took me a full day. Then this managed to sneak in anyway.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialSep 27, 2026, 9:58 PM

Unfortunately there's not anything I can do to fix it short of re uploading the entire thing and losing all the views. I don't know how I missed it, though. I did a full watch through with headphones on before releasing it.

It's finally done. An exhaustive deep dive on Donkey Kong 64, plus a look at Tag Anywhere and DK64 Rekongpiled.

I always thought the mainstream gaming public was too hard on it. I always hear complaints about the camera in particular and I have no idea what they're on about.

@exoparadigmgamer.bsky.socialSep 27, 2026, 12:22 AM

Since people keep asking, I don't have the footage from the original review and it was 1080p anyway and analog footage. I also don't reuse old footage of a game when I'm revisiting it because I need the experience to be fresh and have detailed notes with time codes or it's hard to find things.
