*accommodation
Catherine Liu, talking to Ana Kasparian on TYT, claims that something called the "Trauma Industry" is hurting left politics by making women of color "present themselves to the liberal establishment as vulnerable subjects, as subjects that need accomidation."
I have rarely seen it expressed more concisely than this.
Also, if you have a problem with the fact that many Jews from the historic Polish territories do not identify as Polish, you should take that one up with the Poles more than with the Jews.
There’s no such thing as “biological Polishness,” and it’s actually bad that some left-wing anti-Zionists have talked themselves into “blood and soil nationalism, but leftishly.” You really can oppose the existence of the state of Israel in its current form without this nonsense.
I RESPECT your point—BUT it doesn't matter what racists call you—biologically & legally, they're Polish & Russian. I REFUSE to entertain fake distinction between anti-Zionism & antisemitism ANYMORE, especially since 'antisemitism' has been completely weaponized to shield genocide. Name the truth!
Neo-pagans always seem to be either hippie queer-affirming environmentalist types or complete reactionary fascists, but nothing in between. You never meet a centrist neo-pagan.
BRIEF COMMENT Hopefully, the Democrats will have responded by playing that Rage Against the Machine song that says "FUCK YOU! I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" and then having a DJ come in and saying "This song goes out to Joe 'No Labels' Manchin".
The former senator says Democrats risk helping Republicans in 2028 if investigations overshadow affordability.
My thought, then, is as follows: if Michael Che could take the subject of men thinking of women solely as sexual objects seriously on "Saturday Night Live", why couldn't Shane Gillis?
ADDENDUM: I'd like to add this, too; the week before Shane Gillis delivered that monologue, Michael Che, in the Weekend Update segment, did a sobering and serious commentary on abusive college men who think so little of women outside of their T's and A's.
If you can understand why some Black Americans do not want to maintain names forced on their families in the US against their will, and why it would be offensive to insist they did, you can understand why some Ashkenazim are uncomfortable with names forced on their families by the Russian Empire.
Netanyahu is a genocidal war criminal who belongs in the Hague, but Jews were not considered ethnic Poles based on the Polish government, and Polish Jewish last names were forced on families against their will. This kind of conspiratorial rhetoric about Jews faking their identity is gross.
Part of the answer to "how did we get here?" is that many major journalists—since 1998, Crawford has covered SCOTUS for PBS, ABC, and CBS—are lying bigots. Here Crawford is praising a guy who asked a dumb racist question, glitched out when asked why, then admitted he wanted a Christian theocracy.
Most Texans in the know will vote for Talarico

So anti-trans democrats alienated progressive voters and LGBTQ people and their allies for no benefit? And those of us sounding the alarm on how terrible an idea selling out trans people was were entirely correct? But who could have known?!
NARRATIVE BUSTER: After months of anti-trans ads by Republicans, the latest ABC/Washington Post/Ipsos poll shows... Democrats have a +9 advantage on "transgender issues." abcnews.com/Politics/dem...

The woman who fell victim to rape at that U of A frat not only has to pay the price of being raped altogether but also of the likelihood that her rapist got his ideas of how to interact with women from Mr. Gillis or one of those the "Looksmaxxing" jerks rather than, say, the Brothers Heeler.
Shane Gillis is a person I take no pleasure in blaming for any post-Cornell 7 sexual abuse incidents at college frats, because people like him tacitly encourage MORE, rather than the far more desirable LESS, of these cases by saying women who look or dress a certain way are just BEGGING to be raped.
BRIEF COMMENT A week after the eruption of a scandal surrounding Shane Gillis' horrifically ill-timed SNL monologue about the way women dress at the gym, I took home a Sunday Arizona Daily Star with a serious headline at top left reading "Sexual Assault Reported at [University of Arizona] Flat".
All these incompetent bigots getting exposed is making my life right now. I thought I'd be dead and wouldn't get to see this.
