I've 100% been there, and it hurts! My Chaplain I showed you had the scythe shaft break over and over and it turned into a complete mess. I had to replace it in the end. How confident are you with pinning? have you done it before/would you like advice?

Oh no! Yeah, I know that feeling. I've had models I've had to repair after doing what was at the time some of my best work, it always sucks and it can be quite demoralising. This Chaplain's scythe for example broke /repeatedly/ until I completely rebuilt the haft using a single copper pipe:

Finished four complete cars for the Wacky Racelands project. I'm still at a creative roadblock with the Compact Pussycat and the Army Surplus Special will take a bit more time to paint. There are still five Wacky Racers remaining, not including the two cars based on my friend's characters.

Ehh, it's getting harder and harder to stay in touch with people these days. Most of my friends are finding it super hard to put together the energy to do anything, I don't think it's any relfection on them or me.

I have a real soft spot for the Masakari/Warhawk from playing MechCommander. I spent hours and hours making sure I salvaged enough of them to field two full lances for the last mission. Absolute beasts in that game. And imperfections tell all the best stories! The history is part of the model :)

And the XL engine of course, which doesn't help it on the survivability front but without which you would never get as close as it does to an actual Mad Cat's firepower.

Did I say omni? I meant endo/ferro/artemis lol. I do forget the Rak wasn't an omni sometimes though, which I think is part of why some people put it down but honestly not doing that was a good call, early IS omnis are more or less uniformly undergunned.

It absolutely does deserve to be remembered as important though, as both a landmark new heavy 'mech design and one of the early Inner Sphere reintroductions of previously lost technologies for production.

Later production chassis will be cheaper and more reliable of course which will help, but when you're spending top dollar money you want top dollar gear and at that point "perfectly fine" isn't quite good enough.
