Today, I would gladly take CGI over soulless AI slop. It's lazy, it lacks creativity, and it usually looks awful. Further, AI images are built on stolen work and cost real human jobs. It's the ultimate in not giving a shit about your product, your audience, or the people helping to make your movie.

I used hate CGI. It rarely looked right to me. CGI images were often too flat or too slick to convince me they're real and it never meshed well with the actors. There are exceptions, but generally CGI didn't impress me.

I grew up in the age of practical movie effects. To this day, I still adore and appreciate them. They feel real and present, not just to me but to the actors tasked with bringing the film to life.

I'm against all of them. They take decisions away from the communities affected and give it all to the government in the name of efficiency. The rainy day fund is just the government locking away taxpayer dollars instead of spending them where they're needed now.

It's National Coming Out Day! I've heard coming out stories from many of my LGBTQ+ friends over the years, and I'm sure I'll hear many more today. I believe one of the best things you can do for yourself is embrace who you are in a positive way.
