@icarus-games.co.ukEither is fine. "1d3" is much harder to misinterpret as a typo than just "d3". Assuming you have a system that sometimes does use 2d3 or more, then the reader knows there CAN be a number before the d, so it is possible the absence can be an error or intentional.
