Butlerian Jihad posting will continue until conditions improve. Strict regulation is the *moderate* position.
It's Netflix only. I prefer to do it analog to have access to the full catalog. But it is funny that someone else came up with the same idea.
A film that couldn't be made about any other actor. What a delight.
Agree completely. I hated Mandy as a film but I love Nic Cage's performance in it. It's hard to imagine that film with any other actor.
Something I used to do with friends: Nic Cage Roulette 1) go through his IMDB and write on slips of paper every noteworthy film where he plays the lead role 2) toss the movies in a jar 3) select one at random. that's what you're watching.
I'd go so far to say that without Cage's performance, no one would remember that movie fondly. He's in all the best scenes.
People give Cage a lot of shit for acting in schlocky pulp films like Face/Off, but have you ever *seen* that movie? Cage plays both of the main characters and he does both roles vastly better than John Travolta. Cage carries that film on his back.
Of course Cage cares about AI! This man has never phoned in a role in his entire life. No matter how small, how low budget, how ill-advised the film, Cage shows up and gives his whole ass to the part. He will match the energy of the movie, no matter what. Incredible dedication to the craft.
Nic Cage has never gotten the respect he deserves as an artist. If you don't believe me, watch Pig.
Got our asses
I was watching it at an Alamo Drafthouse and they don't do ads
If this film doesn't win a bunch of awards, what is the point of having award shows?
Caught a screening of Primetime last night. Then I went to bed, got up, and caught a matinee of Resident Evil. Primetime was by far the more stressful film.
Many horror films rely on otherwise intelligent protagonists making dumb mistakes, but right off the bat, Zach Cregger lets you know that our hero is a goober, he will not learn, and he will not improve.
Loved the new Resident Evil film. 2026 needed a horror movie about the fate of the world being in the hands of someone really dumb.
If only there was a subscription service where, for $6000, I could save a million American lives. I would renew every year.
Torn between being like fuck yes and being like THAT ISNT GOWRON
This is how i learned Jolteon passed this year too, my heart is with all the Pokemon fans out there.
I get paid to edit people's writing and LLMs aren't paying me.
