It's currently #SaveTheVaquita week!

The Vaquita is the world's most endangered marine mammal and the few that remain living around the Gulf of California.

Pixel art of the endangered marine mammal, the vaquita. It is a dolphin shaped animal with dark eyes, nose and line across its body. It is swimming in the ocean past rocks covered in plant life and light rays coming down from the ocean surface.

I wanted to do a serious painting and record the whole drawing process, just to have an example for the youtube. It ended up taking over 10 hours, so I'll have to do multiple x16 speed edits to make it at all palatable to watch.

Digital painting of a light green path in a forest surrounded by trees on both sides. A creature with aspects of both an insect and a dinosaur is standing on a tree root in the upper left of the image, surrounded by a few smaller flying creatures. The image is painted in mostly warm tones, making it appear to take place in early morning.

In 2017 Universal wanted to start their cinematic "Dark Universe" with a Mummy movie. During the production I was chosen as background artist for a companion game, developed in just 8 months crunch. The movie wasn't just bad but considered worst movie of the year which destroyed the games sales.
