Wonderful! Bet that was a great experience ❤️
Arches galore and an incredible ceiling - stunning! 🤩 ❤️ Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire.
I’m not 100% sure, but would think so. Sorry, that’s not very helpful 😂
An early 14th century(!) oak window, once in Prior Crauden’s study. How amazing is that?! 🤩😮 Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire
😂
Thanks ☺️ Yes, it’s an impressive building!
I’ve seen a lot of great historic doorways…this has to be one of the best! The 12th century Prior’s Door in Ely Cathedral 🤩 There’s lots of medieval painted decoration still in the cathedral and I’m sure this would once have been brightly coloured too, really bringing that intricate detail to life 😀
Looks beautiful!
The totally stunning ceiling in the (equally stunning room) in Bishop West’s Chantry Chapel, Ely Cathedral 😍 The detail and surviving colours are amazing! West was chaplain to Henry VII and a diplomatic envoy to Henry VIII.
Absolutely! 😂
And the 12th century doorway…
The impressive and unusual Monk’s Door in Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire 🤩
