I'll post about like games, movies, book, and whatnot. Also just generally fun, maybe informative, maybe niche interest posts. Basically whatever I like.

@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialThat and docs about those horror movies-gotta find the time for that Woodlands dark and deep one but I want to watch a lot of the featured films first lol
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialIt's a hilarious mix of Eastern European stuff cause their Mennonite roots and pretty common indigenous/native American foods from their Metis side Borscht and bannock low key kinda goes together
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialDaaaamn, that sounds pretty good. It's definitely the basic white dude in me, but I do like BBQ My most non-basic taste is liking stuff my wife's fam makes (bannock/fry bread, bison burgers, other wild game, borscht, pierogies)
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialI, uh, should clarify not together. That would be awful
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.social100% should be brown (Source : am Canadian)
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialQuery : is the barbeque that good? Our local delicacy is butter tarts and honey dill sauce

@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialdoes 32 count as young? If so, then heck no. I'm there for the love of the game. Personally, I don't think a movie star has ever sold me on a film.
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialBeen waiting for this one
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.social🎉🎉🎉
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.sociali'll need to give it a read!
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialYa the big moment in the church is one hell of a climax
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialYa know, that's a fair point. Keeping that idea on the back burner
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.social...and how was the series?
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialI'm now on a 'case by case' approach -the appointment viewing habit died with the MCU ages ago Still can't believe they fumbled Blade
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialI have a running list of genre film and TV projects with indigenous creatives involved whether behind or in front of the camera Partly cause my wife and son are indigenous and it's cool to see yourself reflected on screen And partly cause I like supporting interesting stuff
@newt-and-hicks.bsky.socialI enjoyed Wandavision for the most part but this 'twist' just felt kinda antagonistic towards the viewer. Whoever thought wasting the siblings playing off of each other and some potential interesting character dynamics for a dumb joke was out of their minds
