That was the problem. People were app-ordering then going up to complain, which just perpetuates the downward spiral.

It was a disappointing experience from a customer service point of view but there were plenty of signs that they were struggling if people could be bothered to look. Maybe go to another pub if things are looking bad. Hassling already-struggling team members isn't helpful.

Other people were pestering the bar staff, slowing down service further. There were not enough team on so someone had messed up, or perhaps team had phoned in sick. It was clearly a situation out of hand but getting all uppety about it doesn't help.

Food was supplied via a dumb waiter so staff had to wait in a private area for the food to arrive from the floor above. The number of people who invaded this area to complain at the single waitress trying to dispense food was shocking.

Went to a Wetherspoons last night. Walked in and tables were not cleared. That tells you they're fire-fighting so we weren't very surprised when food and drink orders took quite a while. The attitude of others customers was shocking.

Not easy DIY I don't think. Those gearboxes don't last well.

This cold is unhelpful. What is the point of colds? Just annoying.

We're already seeing a change of tone with the current government, who do have the power to change things. It's very welcome.

I don't tie myself to any party but found myself agreeing more with them in my hope for politics more from the left. The problem with the left is they tend to fall into arguing amongst themselves so often.

Can't help feeling that the Green Party has managed to massively shoot itself in the foot just as things were looking promising. So much time wasted on a policy that achieves nothing other than fuelling further division. Give us policies that actually affect us.

Imagine it sucking away at all of that lovely hot air at the back of the engine bay. Yum.

Caliper rebuilding today, trying to find enough decent used bits to make two calipers. Then I realised I'd left the mew flexipipes at home...
