Ah yes, that changes the desired behaviour quite dramatically.

And instead of trying to solve those kinds of problems Apple is giving us weird new devices that require spending time rethinking all of the app's layout and navigation 🫠

But if you follow ten people who all reply to the same post do you show the original ten times? That gets annoying real fast. We will get to it, it's just full of weird edge cases.

It's on our to-do list, I just need some time to think through it all. Some people want a bookmark button, some a share button. So maybe we need customisation, but it might have to differ across platforms, also accounting for dynamic type and smaller screens, etc. Lots to consider!

When you have a chronological timeline, breaking that chronology gets messy. Either you make it easy to miss posts, posts feel out of time, or the user sees duplicated posts, which all suck.

Not yet, sorry. It's one of those features that seems relatively straightforward at first but gets ridiculously complicated very quickly. What if posts in the thread are added hours apart. Do you show them at the original time or the latest time or both?

The activity also lets you easily undo an action you made by mistake, without having to scroll around to find the original post, cancel a queued post, or retry a failed post. It's super handy. That's all for now, I'm sure we'll have lots more tweaks for the Duo in the coming weeks!

The other feature is one I teased a few days ago. Moving to London meant spending a lot of time underground, which meant having no signal, which meant many interactions would time out and fail. So we fixed that with an Activity Queue (Tube Mode wasn't as catchy).

One challenge we had was how to handle the full screen timeline carousel on an asymmetrical display and I'm really happy with how this animation / interaction turned out

Indigo 1.3.5 is out now, with two very exciting new features! iPhone Duo Support We've made a bunch of tweaks to Indigo's toolbars and tab bars and overall layout to fit the Duo's sidebar approach. No doubt this will evolve over time as we get used to the new paradigm, but it's a good start.

Can I get a "finally" over here? 😂 (Sorry!)

(And yes, we're still a little miffed that we weren't able to move it to the Aniline developer account to sit alongside Indigo but oh well)

We're working on one of those features that I've wanted all year (since moving to London *specifically* 🚇) and I can't wait to show it off

It seems fixed on my Mac which is still on Tahoe. But I'm guessing it was more of an Xcode bug in how it was packaging the icons for different platforms

I don't think we changed anything on our side (I tried and failed) so I guess it was Apple's bug all along ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
