Yes. And plenty of people there eat pepperoni. It just wasn't big in my house. My mom was vegetarian much of my childhood, and my sisters only ate plain. And my priority was always onions. I liked some meat too, but it wasn't my focus.

We never ordered pepperoni either. My go-to was always sausage and onion, from a very early age. It took a surprisingly long time for me to realize what a common pizza topping pepperoni actually was. But I gave it a try, and it was...fine.

But isn't the whole point of pepperoni that it's merely fine? It's the least divisive pizza topping, therefore the most popular. Not most loved, just least hated. Onions, by contrast--in *any* form--are spectacular on pizza. Therefore, many people hate them.

I love that the entirety of Chapter II: Hot Dogs contains exactly one recipe.

I think a lot of people assume that when there's a cash bar, the host is also putting a tip on the total bill? Which they *can* do. But most don't. So it's really up to the attendees to do the actual tipping.

Also, attendees at catered events don't tip much. Best I've done in a day is $50. But shoutout to the National Association of Gay Pilots for being the best tippers so far. It would help if we were allowed to put out a tip jar, but you know... *aesthetics.* 😡

Ultimately, I'd like to move into a real cocktail bar. I enjoy craft cocktails, both at bars and at home, and love the creativity that goes into them. What I mostly get to make now is like...vodka sodas. Experience the absence of flavor! It's refreshing when someone orders an Old Fashioned.

It's also very social work, which is good for me. I don't enjoy being alone much, as most of my work, both professional and personal, has required. Now, I'm home for my creative work, and out for my money work. It's a good separation. And the money work breaks up the solitude of the creative work.

It gets me out of the house many more hours than teaching did, but the majority of my work hours when teaching were at home. And it was so hard to set boundaries around when I was working and when I wasn't. Now, I'm either working or not, and it's a clean divide.

So in a radical career pivot, after not being invited back to teach this semester, I have taken up events bartending. It's been a little over a week now, but so far...I kinda really like it? It's so refreshing to have a job that I leave and go home, and don't have to keep doing!

The site wasn't just a portal to access the comic, it was part of the experience of the comic, with the whole framework aesthetically of a piece. I miss it!

Same, at the peak of my webcomics days, I had separate bookmarks folders for daily, weekly, and monthly comics, and would start my day by opening one of the folders and clicking "Open all bookmarks." A lot of comics really tailored their sites to support their comic, so there was cohesiveness.

Absolutely mind-boggling to me that this hasn't been a top-level dem priority every single time they have any amount of power.
