What is #InverteFest?
It's a periodic event where we invite you to celebrate the overlooked invertebrate fauna around you and share the joys of discovery online. #InverteFest takes place every April, August, & December over the last 7 days of the month.

A crimson red squirrel-chipmunk creature with big bat-like ears and nose with two points curling slightly back. Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

New solar-powered clam just dropped, part of a small club that partner with algae in their bodies for food! Geloina expansa, which lives in mangroves in South Asia and farms algae called zooxanthellae in its gills, the same type that corals partner with in a process called photosymbiosis. (370)
