i literally know 85% of the stuff in this test; why do i need a piece of paper to prove it 🙃 i hate working in tech so much 🥲

studying to get my CCNA and i wanna die 🫠

escalating calls when not on schedule for on-call is the easiest way to get me to start taking PTO lmao

Edge Control is “at once a styling product for Black haircare devotees as well as a tool to examine the beauty industry, consumerism and how surveillance and race intersect.”

good afternoon bsky

still really thankful critical thinking allowed me to move off twitch & twitter before mass migrations i wouldn't have been able to reestablish myself and my community to this degree otherwise 😅

i think especially with the rise of AI, its just a matter of framing the ownership features in different context for creators and businesses artists, businesses, and creators want to own their creations, but don't understand that how this protocol lets them do it

i found out when they posted about it, but they also post updates on their website via their blog also tyty; i get all my style from random tiktoks lmao

this was added in one of the first feature updates to the platform awhile back, p sure

basically, social apps have established the baseline of REACH and ENGAGEMENT as the most important metrics for users atproto, and by extension bluesky, is breaking that norm by focusing on USER OWNERSHIP and SOVERNITY first, but its hard to fight against preconcieved & already established baselines

wait, jim, you're COOKING 👀

GM. It’s not that atproto is illegible to devs or even civilians but inscrutable via the systems of power that have taken over the internet. The sin of social media wasn’t technical but aligning with the desires of established power and ours is the long hard work of breaking that alignment.

its really good bc it actually gives real data on the poll so if you wanted to use it for a study or something, you could

It’s been really refreshing seeing cool new features & work on the mainline social media client I use. These kinds of things is what was always super interesting about failwhale era Twitter for me, before every new dev release was YA way to exploit/harass its users, or remove functionality.

wait until you see what data profiles are created and sold to data brokers from social apps like instagram, youtube, facebook, and uber we needed comprehensive privacy law 10 years ago, but the second best time is right now
