I get it, as a traditional artist myself I can confirm we going to fuck up a shitton of drawings, we can only live with that and learn from it.

I haven't done cross hatching in a long time, this is a very old drawing! If you don't feel confident to do it or you are afraid to fuck up a drawing, just practice the cross hatching on the side, on sketches o drawings you're no so fond of, to build that confidence
