We kicked off Minneapolis Amplified at Uncle Franky’s, and the place was packed. The idea is simple: bring live music into neighborhood businesses, get more people through the door, and give people another reason to explore Minneapolis. And we’re just getting started.

I’m proud to nominate Bill Peterson as the next Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department. Bill has served this city for 30 years, led through some of our toughest moments, and earned trust across MPD and our community. He knows this city. He’s ready to lead.

I might be biased, but I think our Public Works department has the best snow removal team in the entire state of Minnesota. Grateful for each and every one of these drivers who keep Minneapolis streets safe and running.

17 new Minneapolis firefighters are ready to serve our city. These cadets earned the badge after months of hard work, training, and proving they have what it takes to answer the call when Minneapolis needs them most. We are so proud to have them here.

Yesterday, 30 new officers took the oath to serve Minneapolis. They’re part of one of MPD’s largest and most diverse graduating classes in recent history. That’s real momentum as we continue strengthening public safety and investing in the people who serve our city.
