Yes, it was Kent Beck

Every time someone presented a clever algorithm or optimization I'm pretty sure I made the Sickos "YESS" face

Heading home from SPLASH. It was a really great conference, and I feel very inspired with optimization ideas. Can't wait to hack on stuff

Kent Beck's opening keynote

The slides are all hand written so I'm worried 😬

Unsure. I'll ask him after. Nothing from the conf though

Hahaha could be a Smalltalk pun but I didn't mean it that way 😅

This talk is so good but I don't think it's being recorded 😖

"The tools are set up to isolate us"

I wish more programmers were as introspective as Kent Beck

"I'm not the only one to have mental health issues with regard to augmented development" 💔

"I call it (AI) the genie. Because it grants your wishes but doesn't give you what you wanted" 🤣

"Yes, you're weird. No, you're not alone" ❤️

Hahaha no. Kent Beck just said it

"Inspiration is preparation plus panic" 😂

Portland?

Thank you!!

Heading to Oakland for VMIL. I've never been to Oakland so I'm very excited. If anyone has restaurant recs lmk!!
