Yes I did! Really enjoyed it. I liked how they went with the angle of replicating what it -feels- like to play the game, and the runtime is so nice and short. Just like a really good burst of fun.

It feels bad. Like it's well presented, and you wanna give it a chance or try and take it on its own terms, but it really lacks teeth. And every scene that relates to the revelation from the end of episode 1 is so bad. Emeline is such a bad addition lmao.

Next time we'll be watching Hokum, which afaik is supposed to be a pretty good horror movie that was overshadowed by the release of Obsession and Backrooms? But I don't know anything else about it so I'm looking forward to it

Me and Sevi looked up a bunch of horror movies (with a focus on ones from this year), and they've been spinning a wheel to decide what we'll watch. We're also supposed to use a Discord airhorn SFX if a movie isn't grabbing our interest and we want to skip it, but both of us are too polite to.

It's real special. Definitely has a horror movie angle, but I would honestly recommend it to anyone outside of the genre as well.

Carrie (2026) Stumbles into every modernization trapping it deems necessary for itself, all which chip away at its original intent. Not without love or vision; a few performances and ideas shine through, but are not enough to dredge Carrie's corpse from beneath the rubble. Leave the girl be.

There was a moment watching it with my partner where I was like, "oh this movie was made for furries" LMAO. I think even on the smallest level, a lot of us have had our relationship to sex re-defined by media we grew up with. Or maybe have some hesitance to it that goes into our creative endeavours.

If you've ever had a deep, nerdy connection with a franchise that maybe has had some bad entries or roots, but has partly come to define you (especially with intimacy), you'll enjoy something here. It doesn't need to be horror, per se. You might just be really into Pokémon lmao.
