Scott first came to my attention with a small performance in "Pride". It was a pleasant surprise to see him in "Blue Moon" and then I was deeply impressed by "All of Us Strangers", so I'm looking forward to seeing him in what looks like a demanding role.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It's not in the US yet, but I look forward to seeing it when it is. Though between this and "Hamnet", I mignt never be able to watch Hamlet objectively again.

Before you bemoan your lack of social opportunities, I have to ask...what are you doing to create them? Social opportunities (often) aren't going to just come to you; it may be that you need to take action to make them happen, and if you're just waiting for them to come to you...good luck.

As another example of how frighteningly strategic my brain can be sometimes... there's a guy in my office who is a manager and who probably has more people skills than I do. He ended up being sick while the VIPs were visiting, and I found myself thinking that his loss was probably my gain.

Nope. I was meeting my manager in person for the first time, and the team I'm a part of, though I'm the only member in my state. I also got to meet the IT people who I often consult with. It was a fun time! Not in the least because the Hotel DuPont is awesome (though a bit run-down) and free food.

It's what I was told to use by my manager the first time I flew in, and it's apparently what everyone else uses, and while I imagine I could use...Lyft...instead, I wasn't going to make waves about something like this.

It wasn't even on my list, but was uncovered while they were checking things out for the brake fluid replacement.

Cheaper than free? Because work pays for the Uber. :)

A musician who I'm kind of a fan of is doing a live concert...via Facebook...on Wednesday. I asked whether there would be any alternative viewing options...and I let him know why I won't be watching him on Facebook (it's in my pinned post here).

Went in for winter tire changeover, transmission fluid, brake fluid, oil change. Left with winter tire changeover, oil change, rear brake pads/rotors, and an assurance that my transmission fluid's good for awhile yet and that I should hold off on the brake fluid until my calipers need replacing.

As I never got more than a few blocks away from my hotel room I couldn't say. Someone has to Uber to the Philadelphia airport, though? :p

Wilmington? I've been there a handful of times in the last couple of years (corporate office). Never drove though.
