save file lets me store arbitrary key-value pairs, every system has access to the current save file. most main progression in mew is defined in one data file which contains "unlocks" that consist of a trigger (ex "Beat caves with Fighter") and effects (ex "Unlock item, set flag, show popup").

this ended up being a ridiculous amount of effort on our end and I sure hope it proves worth it!

note that essentially every single other weather service gets this correct. It's just google's that doesn't. Which is especially annoying because its what shows up above the fold if you google "weather", and its what my phone lock screen shows with NO WAY TO CHANGE IT

Google's weather model has been absurdly terrible for me lately, frequently saying "It's currently 65" when its 80+ outside. Location is correct. It's apparently because they use an AI model instead of reports now. I DONT WANT AN AI TO GUESS THE CURRENT WEATHER. I WANT A READING FROM A THERMOMETER
