I've been sick these past few days; I have problems with allergic rhinitis, which is triggered by sudden temperature changes, so I'm a little late, but here's the idea I had for this theme! Some initial sketches:

Mushroom + Shark Princess 🦈🍄👸

“Wherever the Kaunga roam, the Pale Reef spreads, purifying the wounds our ancestors left in the ocean. Species disappear, others flourish, and thus the blue world prepares for a new era.”

- Hinemoa, princess of the Tidal Rift.

#Sharktober2026

An illustration that pays homage to the Ghibli film: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. But with the elements of the film's universe replaced by maritime elements. Nausicaä, here a small salmon-colored shark, wears a blue dress with a crab-shaped crest and a red jewel. She is on her glider, shaped like a manta ray, along with her little squirrel fox, which here is a sea slug. From above, she observes the pilgrimage of the allegory to the great Ohmu, which here are giant crabs. There is a swarm of these crabs heading towards a lake of toxic heavier liquid at the bottom of the sea. Nearby, there is a large, deceased crab, sprouting coral from its body. Here, the Toxic Jungle is a reef of gigantic white corals scattered and sprouting among the toxic red sands and ruins of the past. In the sky, which is actually the ocean ceiling, jellyfish-like creatures float peacefully.
