In what universe is it debatable that the United States engages in information warfare and meddling in other countries' democratic processes?

It's worth noting that in the olden days (like, 15 years ago) areas like White Rock/South Surrey, the Tri-Cities, or Ridge Meadows had 5-15 reporters solely dedicated to local community news. There was a business model that supported that, and it's a huge issue that no longer exists.

Congratulations Mel! That's awesome.

Today, the Vancouver Police Department issued a release saying "when it comes to the perception of public safety, the facts matter." In 2020, when the crime rate in the city was down, Vancouver Police Department Chief Adam Palmer argued that feelings mattered as much as facts.

The Quebec election was yet another example of the flaws inherent in our first past the post system, one that rewards division and creates false majorities.

Mark Carney should fix them. #cdnpoli

My best/worst ever comeback following bike-on-bike bickering was "how about one of THESE??" while waving my middle finger around. Never showed my face on that street again.

"Good. Quebec should separate," Musk wrote in a post on X. "They would be better off. Alberta and Saskatchewan should separate too."

@jameswsthomson.comOct 7, 2026, 7:55 PM

They did the same in the Saanich bank shooting.

Once again, for the politicians, business leaders, and journalists still actively posting on X/Twitter: why? You're using a platform that's owned by someone who's trying to break up your country. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

There it is. Elon Musk now advocating for Alberta separation. That should perhaps be one of the biggest reasons to vote to stay. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

The first-of-its kind program could set a model for bear conservation worldwide. But in providing an alternative to simply protecting old-growth, some worry building dens gives an easy excuse for logging to continue without pause.

Front page of today's Toronto Sun is their response our investigation into Bradford's Victory App. They claim that Olivia Chow, while not using AI, is feeding supporters pre-written messages. An example: "Hey Toronto, I just signed up to volunteer with Team Olivia Chow."

This is why you don't try to tweet while walking home from a boxing class. It's both too nonsensical and too punchy (towards hot dogs for some reason)
