"Steel" (October 4, 1963), a Season 5 Twilight Zone episode about a future when only robots can box, represented a second trip to the fifth dimension for both of its main stars. Joe Mantell was in "Nervous Man in a Four-Dollar Room," while Lee Marvin was in "The Grave."
Excellent choices. Many are high on my list as well.
It’s an amazing story. That poor crew.
"Best wishes for success as Twilight Zone premieres on CBS." — @CBS head Frank Stanton in an October 2, 1959 telegram to Serling The groundbreaking series premiered 67 years ago today with "Where is Everybody?" starring Earl Holliman. Hope can enjoy some TZ today!
September 30, 1960: Season 2 of Twilight Zone opens with "King Nine Will Not Return." A WWII pilot (Robert Cummings) awakens alone next to his wrecked plane in the desert — and searches for his missing crew. Inspired by the true story of the World War II plane "Lady Be Good."
Pure comfort food!

Interesting!
You could say it’s one of those …

Truly a case for Robert Stack …
It’s a special one, no question. Very touching.

"So now there's no more bets, and there's no more bottles, but oh, there's no more Pip, either." September 27, 1963: "In Praise of Pip" opens Twilight Zone's fifth season. A father (Jack Klugman) yearns for a chance to spend time with his dying son—and maybe save his life.
