Ossoff is acting like Trump/MAGA/GOP and what they’ve done to the country is Actually Bad. Charismatic and well spoken, which sure helps. But no “my friends across the aisle,” no acting like the imaginary “Baileys” are the only ones who matter, no “don’t talk values, only kitchen table.” That’s it.

Mifepristone blocks progesterone, while Zyklon B contained cyanide. Anti-abortion groups "have long tried to exploit a tenuous link...Roussel-Uclaf was owned by a German company that once belonged to another German company, a subsidiary of which helped manufacture and sell Zyklon B"

They’re doing an “abortion survivor” narrative for the new White House press secretary

A screenshot of a threads post Afshine Emrani that says: Less than sixty minutes. That was all the time left on the clock before an abortion appointment would have ended her story before it ever began. Her birth mother was 19, terrified, and waiting. Then, the phone rang. A Christian counselor stepped in, spoke truth into fear, and pointed toward adoption. A heartbeat was spared. A destiny was preserved. Today, that baby is Katie Zacharia: mother of four, attorney, uncompromising woman of faith, and the newly appointed White House Press Secretary.

This is a disaster. The ethics committee in Denmark that approved the Guinea-Bissau study which will withhold the birth dose of HepB vaccine “had never considered medical studies before but it changed the rules in order to vote on this one”. Four members of the committee have resigned in protest.

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.

New working paper: the Norwegian wealth tax was a huge success. The "exodus" of wealthy people never happened (less than 100 individuals left). Tax revenue increased by 71.5%. No changes in business activity or investment.

Taxing Entrepreneurial Wealth: Evidence from
Norway, 2021-2025
Marius A. K. Ring
WORKING PAPER 35854|
DOl 10.3386/w35854
ISSUE DATE October 2026
Whether imposing higher taxes on business owners adversely affects business activity by constraining investment and inducing capitalist flight is a central question in the ongoing debate on how to tax the ultra wealthy. To shed new light, I exploit a series of related Norwegian reforms during 2021-2024 that increased dividend tax rates, removed migration-related capital gains tax loopholes, and nearly doubled the effective marginal tax rate on business wealth. These reforms spurred international debate and, allegedly, an "exodus" of Norwegian billionaires (Financial Times,
2023). While I document clear effects on migration, these responses are concentrated among the top 0.1% of the wealth distribution and mostly confined to 2022 and 2023. My results indicate that at most 100 individuals left due to the reforms. I find no evidence of significant outmigration or reduced inflows of startup founders or inventors. I estimate that absent any outmigration, wealth tax revenues would have increased by 75% from 2021 to 2024. Reform-driven outmigration lowers the revenue gain to 71.5%. My findings further show that outmigrating owners' firms remain economically active and do not reduce investment. In a broader set of analyses, I examine whether business outcomes are affected, regardless of whether owners outmigrate, since firms may reduce investment both due to liquidity constraints or distortions to owners' savings decisions. I compare firms owned by Norwegian individuals subject to the wealth tax with firms owned by foreigners and other tax-exempt entities. By merging historical ownership data from Orbis with the Norwegian shareholder register, I perform these analyses on both Norwegian and foreign-domiciled firms.
Across settings, I find no evidence that Norwegian-owned firms pay out more dividends or invest less after the reforms,…

An artificial intelligence model operated by Anthropic submitted false information about an unsolved Philadelphia homicide to the police department’s public tip forum this summer, law enforcement officials said Friday. The unprecedented incident occurred in July and raised concern among department leaders, who met with Anthropic representatives to discuss the interaction on Thursday, police said.

The RFK letter claimed that the Biden administration gave a “lack of adequate consideration” to the safety risks of allowing mifepristone prescriptions via telehealth. Louisiana cited that EXACT language in a lawsuit against the FDA, and judge cited as reason the state would win. @autonomynews.co

13. Defendants recently admitted that there was a “lack of adequate consideration” of the safety risks “underlying the prior REMS approvals,” including the decision to “remov[e] the in-person dispensing requirement.”4 Defendant Secretary Kennedy went so far as to concede that the “Biden administration removed mifepristone’s in-person dispensing rule without studying the safety risks.”5
14. Second, as Judge Ho recognized in Alliance II, the 2023 REMS also is contrary to law because it “violate[s] the Comstock Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1461–62, and [thus is] ‘not in accordance with law’ for that reason as well.” Id. at 267 (Ho, J., concurring in part and dissenting in part) (quoting 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(A)). Among other things, the Comstock Act prohibits the mailing of “[e]very article or thing designed, adapted, or intended for producing abortion.” 18 U.S.C. § 1461. The Act also prohibits the use of “any express company or other common carrier or interactive computer service” for “any drug, medicine, article, or thing designed, adapted, or intended for producing abortion.” Id.
§ 1462. Each one of these provisions covers, of course, precisely the mailing of mifepristone that the Biden Administration intentionally sought to facilitate through the 2023 REMS. So for that additional reason, the Court need only cite Judge Ho’s concurrence to “set aside the [2023 REMS] because it

The Alliance III court’s reasoning is therefore due strong consideration in weighing Plaintiffs’ likelihood of success on the merits.
Further, HHS Secretary Kennedy and FDA Commissioner Makary essentially acknowledged APA [Administrative Procedure Act] procedural deficits with respect to mifepristone in their September 19, 2025, letter, stating that FDA’s intention to review the mifepristone... [page break]
regulatory framework was precipitated by “the **lack of adequate consideration** underlying the prior REMS approvals” and recent safety concerns. [Doc. 1-110]. Thus, the Court concludes that Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits of their 2023 REMS challenge.

Case No. 3:23-cv-00019-RSB

PLAINTIFFS’ REPLY MEMORANDUM IN FURTHER SUPPORT OF
RETAINING JURISDICTION PENDING REMAND TO FDA

Defendants do not dispute that this Court has the authority to retain jurisdiction over this case pending the completion of FDA’s mifepristone review. See ECF Doc. 101 at 4–5 (citing cases). Nor do they dispute that it would be improper for FDA to disregard the statutory factors that should guide its mifepristone review in favor of political considerations. Instead, **Defendants disparage Plaintiffs’ concern about political interference with FDA’s review as “unfounded speculation.”** ECF Doc. 102 at 4. **Far from it — Plaintiffs have the receipts.**
Last week, in response to a FOIA request, Plaintiffs’ counsel received a production of FDA documents that included **a September 3, 2025 email from an “eop.gov” email address asking FDA and HHS for “a briefing on the status of the FDA [mifepristone] study design and proposed timelines.” Exhibit A. “EOP” stands for “Executive Office of the President” and “eop.gov” is the email address for the White House.** An HHS employee agreed the agencies would “do our best to accommodate.” Id. This document confirms that the threat of political interference with FDA’s review of the scientific evidence is very real. This Court should exercise its authority to retain...
