@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialDo not adjust your eyes - that's 4 @stlcitysc.com reps on the MLS Team of the Matchday after a 6-2 win!
Carlo Holse leads it w/his 3 goals.
Rafael Navarro w/his 2g/2a.
Chris Durkin added 2 beautiful assists.
And Yoann Damet named Coach of the Week!
#AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialHolse and Navarro are the locks. Team of the Matchday is so goal heavy that Durkin might make the bench - but he's deserving of a shout out w/that performance.
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialIn the hubbub of scoring 6 goals for the 2nd time in club history, our 2nd ever hat trick, our 1st ever 4 goal contribution performance & being 1 pt out of 1st...
I nearly forgot @stlcitysc.com just tied the MLS record for most all competition matches unbeaten in a row at 20. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialThe most goals scored in 1 half in club history.
CITY starts off the biggest stretch of their season in incredibly impressive fashion. They've set themselves up for the showdown of the season with Vancouver at home this Wednesday. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialFT and it's an all timer of a win for @stlcitysc.com. With all eyes on them for Sunday Night Soccer, CITY defeats the Galaxy 6-2 and moves to within a point of 1st place in the West.
Carlo Holse with the 2nd quickest hat trick in MLS history at 21'. Rafael Navarro with 2g/2a. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialCITY is peppering the Galaxy's right side. Beautiful sequences, timing and ball movement by CITY in possession and transition. And a set piece goal!
This is the 1st time in CITY history they have scored 5 goals in 1 half of play. I am all kinds of hyped & exhausted at the same time. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialHT. WOW. @stlcitysc.com lead 5-1 and it's been an absolute masterclass by CITY so far. A couple short spells of Galaxy momentum and a great strike by Robert Taylor but other than that? ALL STL.
Carlo Holse has the fastest hat trick in CITY history.
Navarro has 1g/2a. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialHOLSE GOAL JUST 90 SECONDS INTO THE MATCH!
Carlo Holse finishes after Navarro was 1v1 on goal after he forces a turnover on the left wing and slides in a beautiful pass for Holse to finish. CITY lead 1-0 early! #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialKlauss receiving a big ovation from the home supporter's section after coming out for warm ups tonight.
He won't be announced in the XI but the fans appreciate him and he warmly waived back in return. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialAlmost the XI we expected and wanted. Fallou falls out of the XI as Lukas MacNaughton returns & Polvara goes back to LCB.
Otherwise, it’s the same midfield, WBs and attackers as their last match - and that’s a very good thing. #AllForCITY
@flyoverfooty.bsky.socialReposted by @mattbakerstl.bsky.socialOur Consensus Projected Starting XI for @stlcitysc.com facing LA Galaxy in Sunday Night Soccer!
We want em to run it back. Our Best XI, simple as that. Let’s see it at home for the 1st time and know we have Becher, Sangbin & Ostrák as attacking options to close it out. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialYep. There are 3 slots for 1-3 finishes in Leagues Cup but we don’t have that option this yr. Otherwise: 1. Win MLS Cup 2. Win Supporters Shield 3. Win US Open Cup 4. Regular Season Conference Champions 5. If any of the above overlaps, the next highest team in regular season standings is in.
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialBeautiful day for soccer in St. Louis. Made better by favorable results across MLS on Saturday.
Vancouver, San Jose & Houston all drew while Dallas lost. A @stlcitysc.com draw tonight keeps pace w/VAN but a win puts us 1 pt back from 1st ahead of our H2H midweek match. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialPlayer Availability Reports for @stlcitysc.com v LA Galaxy and it’s a minuscule report. Chucky is out after suffering an injury while on int’l duty.
CITY is down to just Célio, who is on season ending injury list. Great news for a club embarking on 7 matches in 21 days. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialBig day for @forestparkrangersfc.com as we're FINALLY able to announce our kit sponsor: @hummelnorthamerica.bsky.social!
A lot of folks know the name 'hummel' but their resume runs deep in North American Soccer & we're so excited to partner with them! forestparkrangersfc.com/2026/10/09/f...
@flyoverfooty.bsky.socialReposted by @mattbakerstl.bsky.socialNEW POD DROP TONIGHT AT 8PM!

@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialPalmer Ault is named to the MLS NEXT Pro Best XI for 2026 in his 1st professional season.
Ault had 8g/7a, nearly one goal contribution per match. He led the team in goals & finished 2nd overall in assists on CITY2 while also signing a 1st team contract on 7/15. 👏👏 #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialMLS is featuring @stlcitysc.com in their news release ahead of next weekend's resumption of play with a hugely important match up ahead.
Love seeing St. Louis take center stage in a hugely positive light ahead of a Sunday Night Soccer featured match. #AllForCITY
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialMizzou with a definitive 45-17 win on the back of Austin Simmons’ 300+ yards passing & 2 1st half TDs, and then slamming the door shut with Jamaal Roberts’ 200+ yds rushing & 3 2nd half TDs is pure magic.
What a damn top 10 win by these Tigers! #MIZ 🐯
@mattbakerstl.bsky.socialLate week @flyoverfooty.bsky.social Fallout is in the book! An int't break is upon us bringing a 3-0 @stlcitysc.com win to look at w/Santi!
Took stock of this unbeaten run and the big picture along w/the full recap. Pod out in the AM! #AllForCITY
