It’s not quite one of those sci fi time machine plots where the guy from the future goes back and erases himself, unwittingly - unless we could ship him back to 18th Century Britain…:)

Obvs that was a long time ago, he’s not remotely an immigrant himself - but his ancestors came here feeling religious persecution - and he, the product of that, would ban all immigration.

Fun fact, Farage is descended from refugees who came to Britain a couple of hundred years ago, his name an anglicised version of Ferauge.

Tell that to Kemi Badenoch, the self described 'old school' Tory leader who reckons private enterprise is best and that privatisation worked…!

Airline boss and private enterprise leader….says he needs the state to bring costs down…..it’s all topsy turvy today…:)

Trump threatens India (and others) for doing exactly what Trump just did and Europe slags off Trump for doing less in several years than Europe does in a few months. WTF.

@dalevince.comOct 12, 2026, 11:55 AM

In this tangled nest of Hypocrisy - the West, Trump and Europe talk big on sanctions while continuing to trade with Russia in the things they need, while pointing fingers at others….

@dalevince.comOct 12, 2026, 11:55 AM

Europe has been importing gas all through 4 years of war and 20 rounds of sanctions and lots of highfalutin rhetoric….it’s guff. Europe is and always has been supporting Russia’s war - and by far more, in monetary terms - than Trump’s diesel deal will.

@dalevince.comOct 12, 2026, 11:55 AM

Zelensky spoke more harshly and in anger…. Both apparently ignorant of the fact that in just nine months this year Europe imported 12 million tonnes of Russian gas, valued at around £8 Billion.

@dalevince.comOct 12, 2026, 11:55 AM

To the EU and to Ukraine it’s very different - where the talk is of betrayal and the undermining of four years of sanctions. Here’s a typical quote -  ”The EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, said the diesel deal “provides Moscow with more revenues to wage war”.

@dalevince.comOct 12, 2026, 11:55 AM

Big Hoo Hah in the last few days over Trumps’ very Trumpian move, agreeing to buy 5 million tonnes of diesel from Russia, to ease his self-inflicted US fuel price crisis. Worth $5 billion over several years. In his world it makes complete sense.

Lies and deceit at the heart of a Genocidal state, surely not...:)

Netanyahu's own assistant said this....We’re talking about a pattern of criminal behaviour by people who think they’re allowed to do anything they want.

This is a very important "IF".

@dalevince.comOct 11, 2026, 12:00 PM

Nobody's talking about it here on the panel today.....

@dalevince.comOct 11, 2026, 10:25 AM

Our way that we're going to get to net zero is currently wrong.

@dalevince.comOct 9, 2026, 7:33 PM

Because whatever Labour does decide, I think they probably will be sued by somebody.....

Same old Tories, tax cuts for the wealthy, last week it was benefits for the wealthy - are they the party of the rich?
