In real life, adding water tanks around the ship (supplied in-orbit from mined/asteroidal sources) is an excellent way to shield occupants from cosmic radiation. I could see “habbitrail“ tubes wrapping around inside the hull plating to give the swimmers some window access w/o big tanks everywhere 🐬
