Check out this fun recap of this special night at the NAACP Branch 3147’s Annual Freedom Dinner on Friday! I was grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and hear from so many dedicated community leaders and advocates. Thank you to Muskegon NAACP for a memorable evening!

Thank you to all who joined us last night at The Outsider in Manistee! Special thanks to Ingham County Clerk, Barb Byrum, for spending the evening with us.

I keep hearing the same thing - people are tired of politics as usual. It’s time for new leaders who are for the people. #VoteAmidon

Having access to healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. Supporting rural hospitals and communities and expanding access to services is crucial for this district. As your next State Senator, I’m committed to fighting for a healthcare system that works for Michigan families.

We stopped by the Lakeshore Food Club to visit with O’Nealya Gronstal, Executive Director, and learn about this community resource. The Food Club is about more than putting food on the table. It’s about dignity, choice, and making sure families have access to food in a welcoming environment.

The only spooky part about knocking doors is the decorations! We have tons of opportunities to canvass for this campaign and we’d love for you to grab a friend and join us. Let’s win this seat together. #DoorKnocking #VoteAmidon #Canvassing

Celebrating Indigenous peoples goes beyond simply expressing support. It means listening to Indigenous voices and honoring tribal sovereignty. It means electing people who will prioritize protecting the land and water that we all share. It means putting real action behind the talking points.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, we honor the histories, cultures, and traditions of Indigenous peoples and recognize their contributions to our communities. This was taken on Earth Day while I was braiding hair before a Blessing of the Water ceremony. May we continue to honor Indigenous voices.

It was a beautiful day in Arcadia yesterday. We spent the day knocking doors and speaking with local business owners. Meeting people up and down District 32 has been the highlight of this campaign journey! #VoteAmidon #Michigan #Arcadia #StateSenate #Vote

This past week I enjoyed spending time at the Michigan Education Association (MEA) Retired Teachers Lunch! As one of the MEA’s endorsed candidates, I was especially grateful for their support and the opportunity to connect with many educators. Thank you for the impact you’ve made in our communities!

Last night, I was grateful to attend the Muskegon NAACP Branch 3147’s Annual Freedom Dinner. It was wonderful to hear from keynote speaker John E. Johnson Jr., Executive Director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and spend the evening with so many dedicated community leaders and advocates.

We must end the gun violence epidemic.

I’m honored to be the only Moms Demand Action Gun Sense candidate in this race. Let’s keep working together to make our communities safer for all. @momsdemandaction.org

I’m proud to be endorsed by many unions who prioritize workers and their families. As your next State Senator, I’ll show up. I’ll listen. I’ll fight for fair wages, strong benefits, safe working conditions, and the right to organize. When workers have a seat at the table, Michigan is stronger.

We need people in Lansing who live the every day struggles. Mothers. People who know what it’s like to need Medicaid. Your representatives should actually represent their constituents. Thank you to this mom for sharing her story, and letting us share it with you. Stories are powerful.

Thank you to all who joined us at the Chamber Alliance of Mason County’s Candidate Meet and Greet! It’s always great to see people show up to learn about candidates, ask questions, and have discussions about what’s important to them. #VoteAmidon #MasonCounty #Michigan #StateSenate #Vote

We had a wonderful time at Motel Bear Lake last night! Thank you to all who came, asked amazing questions, and talked about what’s important to your community. That’s the way we make real change happen - by sharing stories and making sure that the people who represent us are listening.

Today is World Teachers Day, so I’m honored to share Michigan Education Association’s endorsement of this campaign. Standing up for teachers, advocating for all education professionals, and supporting public schools are major priorities for me, and I’m looking forward to working with MEA. Thank you!

October 5 is World Teachers Day! I’m grateful for all of the teachers I’ve had that have shaped who I am today. My role as a teacher has been an honor. I believe in supporting our public schools and making sure they are fully funded, teachers are well-paid and kids don’t have to go to school hungry.

I’m incredibly proud to be endorsed by the Michigan Machinists in this race. Unions are the backbone of our communities, setting the standard for wages, safety, and opportunity for all workers.
I’ll always stand with working people and their right to have a voice on the job. #UnionStrong
