DHS is spending billions of taxpayer dollars to amass paramilitary weapons to violate our rights and cause fear, trauma, and pain. We cannot continue letting a dangerous agency access more tools to wage war on our communities.

But their brutality must only strengthen our resolve. We must demand we honor our shared humanity, end ALL executions, reject the spectacle, and hold the authoritarians accountable.   And let me be clear: Hegseth must be impeached.

DHS agents are empowered to act with impunity so that they can meet arbitrary quotas and execute Stephen Miller, Markwayne Mullin, and Donald Trump’s white supremacist mass deportation agenda. Every agent and every fascist will be held accountable.

The horror and violence we have witnessed in our communities isn’t a coincidence.

DHS is the biggest threat to our communities. 
The pain and trauma they have inflicted on our children is unforgivable.  
But we can choose to change course, dismantle DHS, protect our children, and reimagine the safety of our communities.

ICE supervisors and “well-trained” agents have perpetrated horrors, shootings, and murders in our communities. Training and reforms won’t stop the violence because DHS AGENTS ARE NOT ROGUE.    DHS was designed to be a weapon. We must dismantle DHS and hold every perpetrator of violence accountable.

DHS is a weapon used to violate our rights and punish resistance.   Ya’kub is a DACA recipient who has been unlawfully held in detention for over a year because he dared to dissent.     I joined Rep. Rashida Tlaib in demanding his immediate release.
