Bud Powell - The Amazing Bud Powell Volume 1. That album title is no exaggeration.

@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialFor me it's between this and Foxtrot but Nursery Cryme isn't far behind.

Music etc
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.social@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialGenesis - Selling England By The Pound. I've had this copy for fifty three years and it may be a little worn now but the music sounds as good as when I first played it. A marvellous record.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialFirehose - Ragin' Full-On.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialAmon Düül II - Yeti.

@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialIt's a full house for me.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialYep. I didn't know either till I saw the sign.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialI also found these CDs in Oxfam, so not a bad day on the jazz front.

The Jimmy Giuffre 3
Paul Desmond and Gerry Mulligan - Two Of A Mind.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialWell pleased, I must admit. There wasn't that much that interested me - there was a LOT of Woody Herman and big band/swing stuff, but these two leapt out. Fantastic music.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialI popped into The Bookshop On The Heath in Blackheath this afternoon for the first time in many years and followed a sign that pointed to the collection of jazz LPs in the basement...

@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialA lovely way to start the day.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialThey were quite big in the Netherlands, weren't they? I didn't know anyone else who'd heard of them.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialFortunately I've still got my originals so I can pass on that too!
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialThe Sound - From The Lion's Mouth. A mighty album.
@glenwotherspoon.bsky.socialThe Doors - Live At The Bowl '68.
