@daviss.orgReally in Minneapolis at Powderhorn Park after Ilhan Omar’s DC home was searched this morning. A message from Omar was read: She thanks those for having her back and says “I’ll be home soon to get out the vote and look forward to seeing each and every one of you”
@daviss.orgSomehow came across this old COPS episode that features disgraced cop Bob Kroll, former Hennepin Sheriff Rich Stanek (then MPD), members of the emergency response team (who put on face paint?) that were later sued for shooting dogs & by the exonerated Marvin Haynes.
@daviss.orgyikes :(
@daviss.orgDowntown Minneapolis from Portland Avenue. Love that you can't see the Foshay Tower but you can see the antenna on top if you look closely.
Minneapolis in October 2026
@daviss.orgoverheard tonight at OG ZaZa pizza in Uptown, some guy talking about his tenants "i was driving by a little bit ago and saw a bunch of cops have hennepin ave closed, another wild saunday night in uptown huh" (it was open streets hennepin)
@daviss.orgWhile high for sure, I do think id believe this. I know so many people who didn’t think to lock up their bike in their garage until they get at least one bike stolen. If you have a side door in your garage, you need to find a way to lock that bike up!
@daviss.orgwait a minute.. and obviously not a surprise, but kid rock is actually speaking at Trump rallies now?
@daviss.orgUptown Association, who moved the Uptown Art Fair out of Uptown, is hosting Open Streets tomorrow on Hennepin where they said they couldn't hold the Uptown Art Fair. Also, they call Seven Points Mall, Seven Points Square. This organization is a total scam.
@daviss.org2018 Helsinki, never forget
@daviss.orgOctober sunsets on Lake Street in Minneapolis are pretty good!
@daviss.orgTrump spoke in Minneapolis on this day in 2019:

@daviss.orgmissed it this year, but saw pictures of that!
@daviss.orgOne of the many whistles by Mitch Vars, founder of Nice Ride, placed around Minneapolis. The whistle also made an appearance at the Minnesota State Fair in the form of crop art. Uptown Minneapolis, October 2026
@daviss.orgso for those who see cedar isles dean condos for sale… remember, they think their building is going to fall down, so offer half price
@daviss.orgreminds me of the condo owners on the green line who delayed construction by saying they feared vibrations would cause their building, which was built as a grain elevator next to freight trains, to fall down. all while living there and they don’t dare mention this in their million dollar listings
@daviss.orgACLU of MInnesota: Evening of Dissent: Make it Count! fundraiser at the Uptown Theater
@daviss.orgA modified quote from Martin Luther King Jr. seen in Uptown Minneapolis in October 2026:
