2/2 Here are some close-ups! I included patches of dry grass in this one to break up the forest area as it was larger than the first piece. I added embers to the trees and dying ones to the already burned ground along with burnt tree remains. Now all the details I added are visible under the smoke!

This was the second forest fire aerial embroidery I made back in August, short title is 'Apathy' - something I was seeing a lot of around me during the extreme heatwave. It's now available and you can see its full name in the description: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/work/forest-... 1/2

'The great green sweep' - my last big aerial embroidery (except the moorland one) until ~February as I'll be focussing booked on commissions until January. I'll still be doing small projects ๐Ÿ˜Š You can read the full details of this landscape on my site: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/work/green-m...

I haven't started my next crop circle landscape yet, I haven't decided what colour scheme to use Would you be more interested in it leaning green or golden? Which of the past two embroideries below do you prefer colour wise? I liked the extra contrast of the green but gold felt more summery!

'You'll choke too' - I wanted to reshare my wildfire aerial embroidery now summer is finally over as it really meant a lot to me. Autumn is here but as the fruit ripened much earlier than normal, I worry the little birds and animals won't have enough for the winter...

I sell them as this is my job (embroidery artist ๐Ÿ˜)

@aerialembroidery.bsky.socialSep 23, 2026, 11:17 PM

Haha, no, that would be Princetown and this one wasn't inspired by that part. But it has been suggested before!

@aerialembroidery.bsky.socialSep 23, 2026, 11:15 PM

Thank you! And yes, a 12-inch hoop :)

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not ๐Ÿ˜… I hope you like it! #art

2/2 This crop circle design is closely inspired by a real example, with the ring of circles getting smaller. I changed the larger middle part but it was seeing that original first that got me wanting to create it!

'What about my harvest?!' - my second embroidered crop circle! These aerial landscapes have been so fun! This one was 35 hours, the knots took less time but the circles took longer than expected ๐Ÿ‘ฝ now available here with the first: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a... 1/2

'Just visiting!' - the first in a short series of embroidered crop circles! As the first, I wanted this to be a fresher green crop field like early summer. The next will be golden shades of ripe wheat :) The knots alone took 25+ hours! Now available: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a...

This aerial embroidery mixed media landscape is the last piece currently still available on my site! The natural elements were done in embroidery, the man-made ones in card. Each cargo container is only a mm wide! You can see it with full details here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/work/cargo-c...

2/2 The close-ups of my wildfire embroidery. I tried to get a glowing effect with the fire and embers with colours I chose. I cut up my favourite cardigan for the rough charred ground as it was the only fabric I had with the right colour and texture but its not needed in this heat anyway...
