Calling my shot: we will see less than half as many pundit-consultant pieces about this Latino realignment as we saw in the other direction 2021-2025, because a Latino blue shift doesn’t fit the Dems-Too-Woke narrative

Remarkable: As of now, Latino early vote is outpacing where it was at same time in 2024 in both percentages of vote share and in RAW VOTE TOTALS.

That's big. Presidential turnout is usually higher than midterms.

I obtained new analysis from Dem firm TargetSmart:

People are discussing how Halloween candy is so terrible these days. A reminder that alot of the candy we eat is made with women’s prison labor. Russell Stover’s factory in Kansas busses in 150 women a day via a convict leasing program to staff their candy factory.

A Russell Stover candy factory in Kansas has begun hiring incarcerated workers through a work release program, Eoin Higgins reports in his newsletter, The Flashpoint. About 150 women are bussed in from the Topeka Correctional Facility and paid $14 an hour, but the prison keeps some of their wages for room and board, taxes, transportation, and other expenses. When all is said and done, they take home less than $6 per hour. These deductions are high, but elsewhere in the country, they're even higher: In our May series on prison

Bethany wore a “Protect The Dolls” t-shirt during rehearsals. The BBC posted it on their socials then quietly deleted and reposted it without showing her from the front. On TV last night they actually blurred the message #Strictly

I finished reading The Rebel Loon Archive book.

History is not always written years later by scholars peering at the past. History is also written in the moment, by the people taking the action.

This book mirrors my heart.

Incroyable.

Tu remplaces "Inde' par "France", et "Narendra Modi" par "Sébastien Lecornu" est le titre fonctionne encore!

Je me demande du coup pourquoi ce n'est pas CE titre auquel on a eu droit.

American hospitals, physicians, drug companies, and others charge some of the highest prices in the world — a chief reason why U.S. health spending is on pace to cost almost $16,500 per person this year.

But a breaking point, policy experts warn, is a matter of when, not if: https://bit.ly/4edjsFi
