As the official election campaign nears, I'm looking forward to hearing from residents & sharing my ideas for Ward 9 and Ottawa. The status quo is not acceptable, and much needs to be done. If you'd like to be part of the campaign, sign up at the link below. 1/ docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
Here is my opponent Anna Ielo-Tal's segment, which I listened to after she posted it on X.
They say "all publicity is good publicity," but, respectfully, I'm surprised she posted it at all. I'll let you render your own opinion. 5/5 www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...
You can listen to my response on CBC’s All in a Day feature here: www.cbc.ca/listen/live-... 4/5
The CBC All in a Day feature was a great opportunity for Ward 9 voters to compare and contrast the three candidates. (Cole Fraser Jones didn't do the interview due to work & family commitments—which I can relate to, though unfortunate residents won't hear his thoughts on this critical issue.) 3/5
We each got to respond to a question posed by resident Tyler Hall, who's house had been repeatedly flooded this summer. Tyler posed the question: What will the City do to make his neighborhood safe? When will it start? And how much will it cost? Great questions! 2/5
On Oct 26, Ward 9 voters face an important choice for councillor—someone who needs to be competent, knowledgeable, and ready to do the homework on the challenges facing our ward and city. This week, CBC's All in a Day featured Ward 9 & asked candidates how they'd protect us against flooding. 🧵👇1/5
We need $5,000 to be in the clear for our campaign expenses. If 100 people pitch in $50 each, we reach our goal! Whether you live in Ward 9 or just want to see progressive leadership on Ottawa City Council, all contributions help us cross the finish line. Thanks! www.seandevine2026.ca/donate
We’re now shifting into the critical Get Out the Vote (GOTV) phase to ensure our supporters hit the polls. To finish strong, we need to print new GOTV flyers and cover essential phone-banking services so no vote is left behind. 3/
While I’m running to represent Ward 9, building a more vibrant, accessible, and progressive community here benefits our entire city. What happens in individual wards shapes the decisions, transit, housing, and services that affect us all. Stronger neighborhoods mean a stronger city. 2/
18 days to Election Day! I’ll be honest—I could use a nap. But seeing how our positive, progressive vision for Ward 9 is resonating on the doorstep keeps me energized every single day. That, and a LOT of coffee. The nap can wait; the future of our city can't. 🧵👇1/
If you want to see more of Sean and Shawn, then I could use you as a volunteer on my campaign. There's still 3 weeks left to go, and we're going to keep knocking on doors and making phone calls right up until the end. Sign up to help today! www.seandevine2026.ca/volunteer
But it was Shawn's leadership in fighting against the financial calamity that is Lansdowne 2.0 where I was most inspired by his deep commitment to doing what's right. 3/
I'm looking forward to another four years on Council working with colleagues like Shawn. We've collaborated on several initiatives during the last term, especially related to environmental concerns and bike share. 2/
Councillor Shawn Menard is a great colleague, and I was happy to get his support while out door-knocking yesterday in Trend-Arlington. In fact, he got to knock on the door of the house on Bellman Drive where he lived for a few years as a young teen. 1/

Happy October, Ward 9! After announcing that OC Transpo's highly-missed express bus route 282 was coming back into service later this month, I saw quite the exciting response on Facebook. Check it out on this short video.
First of 52 new articulated buses launches in Ottawa
Through upgrading our infrastructure, deploying green tech, and strengthening emergency response, Ottawa can lead in climate adaptation. Read the full plan for Priority #2: Prepare for Extreme Weather at seandevine2026.ca!
Disaster response is also about people and partnerships. I’ve already engaged with organizations like Volunteer Ottawa and Ontario Corps to build a city-led emergency volunteer network that can rapidly mobilize and support neighbours when crisis hits. 4/
We need modern, innovative solutions to manage extreme weather: 🌧️ Stormwater Tech: I’ve led efforts getting Ottawa to pilot innovative stormwater management technology. ⚡️ Grid Resilience: I’m pushing Hydro Ottawa to strengthen grid reliability in Ward 9's most outage-prone areas. 3/
Resilience starts with holding infrastructure accountable. Following this summer's severe storms, I led the push for the city’s thorough investigation into infrastructure failures across our hardest-hit neighbourhoods to ensure residents get the real answers and fixes they deserve. 2/
