We met with the National Association of Long Term Hospitals and the National Alliance for Care at Home. Our conversations focused on how lawmakers can improve Medicare and Medicaid, and support seniors.

1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime which is why early screening & treatment should be accessible to all. Great to meet w/ UConn Health, Comp Scanlon, CT DPH Commr Juthani & state officials to raise awareness, promote early detection & educate on risk factors & patient support.

CT has the 2nd highest number of new cases of breast cancer in the U.S. Know your risk by talking to your doctor about your family history and schedule your annual screening. Early detection can save a life.

My response to the videos circulating online of white supremacists rallying on Danbury:

Women across the country cannot fill their estrogen patch prescriptions as a result of a shortage. I joined the @demwomenscaucus in a letter to HHS Sec. Kennedy to get answers and ensure supply chain disruptions and pharmacy delays are addressed with the urgency it deserves.

This Polish American Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich history, traditions, and contributions of Polish Americans who have helped strengthen communities in Connecticut and across our country.

Had a chance to talk to 2026 State Teachers of the year when they came to Washington DC. I welcomed Brian Betesh, Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury, and State Teachers of the Year from NY and NJ. These remarkable educators are on the Hill advocating for students, our schools, and our profession.

Head Start prepares our most vulnerable children for success in school and beyond. Proposed changes by this Administration will cut enrollment and have a serious impact on families. Thank you to the advocates speaking with lawmakers and raising awareness.

Another round of informative meetings. This week we met with the Chef Ann Foundation, March Fourth, and CT Credit Unions. We covered strategies to bring scratch-cooked meals to schools (I have a bill for that!), ending the gun violence epidemic, and the value of community banking.

58 years ago, Anthony earned a Purple Heart for his service in the USMC but was missing the official certificate. We successfully obtained the missing record for Anthony. As the only Purple Heart Congressional Office in New England, my office stands ready to help all veterans.

Congratulations to Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance! In 2024 I submitted a CPF for funding to replace the 100 yr old ambulance HQ. That funding was secured & today we cut the ribbon on this new state of the art facility. Thank you for your work to keep communities in Litchfield & across the state safe

It’s always a great day when I can spend time at a school. Today it was in New Britain for the groundbreaking of Smith Elementary School & Pre-K Center. Another boost to education & a much needed investment in our youngest learners. Thank you Mayor Sanchez, Gov Lamont & all who made this happen

Another great week of meetings with constituents who were in Washington, D.C. We met with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, National FFA, and Young Audiences Arts for Learning.
