NL condemns the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including multiple attacks on AirPorts which have caused casualties. My deepest condoleances to the families of the victims. NL stands in full solidarity with the people of Saudi Arabia and our Gulf partners.

Just spoke with International Criminal Court President Judge Tomoko Akane about the announced US sanctions against the Court. We are aware of the impact these measures may have on the Court and its staff. I ensured Akane of the Netherlands' continued support for the ICC and its employees.

Nederland blijft pal voor het Internationaal Strafhof staan. We zullen ons maximaal blijven inzetten om het Hof goed te laten functioneren: als gastland en als verdragspartij.

The Netherlands will continue to stand up for the International Criminal Court. As host state and as a signatory to the ICC’s Rome Statute, we will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that the Court can function effectively.

At the same time, it’s important to note that the sanctions will not take effect immediately and that service providers can continue to work for the ICC.

Latin America and the Caribbean are important partners for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Good to meet the GRULAC ambassadors who work hard to deepen bilateral ties. We discussed working closer together on trade, tackling organised crime and strengthening the rules-based order.

Good call with European Commissioner Piotr Serafin about the next EU-budget. The Netherlands supports a focus on security and defense, migration and competitiveness. At the same time, the budget needs to remain affordable. Strategic priorities require clear choices.

At the Foreign Affairs Council on Defense, the EU adopted new sanctions against 27 Russian individuals and entities involved in the illegal deportation and transfer of Ukranian children. The perpetrators of these international crimes must be held to account.

Deutschland und die Niederlande stehen fest zum Int. Strafgerichtshof und seiner wichtigen Rolle im Kampf gegen Straflosigkeit. @aussenminister.diplo.de und ich haben den IStGH besucht und mit Präsidentin Akane und Kanzler Zavala Giler gesprochen. Wir werden den IStGH weiter voll unterstützen.

Nederland en Duitsland staan pal achter het Internationaal Strafhof en zijn belangrijke rol in de strijd tegen straffeloosheid. Samen met @aussenminister.diplo.de bezocht ik het Hof en spraken we met president Akane en griffier Zavala Giler. We blijven het Hof voluit steunen.
