He wears it well.

@tagishsimon.bsky.socialOct 11, 2026, 3:52 PM

Out of interest, you being a journalist, is there any evidence of this that you'd like to vouchsafe, or do we just take your word?

1779; Frenchies and the US, led by John Paul Jones (prior to his Led Zeppelin stint). iirc they also took a potshot at Alnmouth, and probably did some other stuff.

In this economy?

Dr. T. Gerson da Cunha, in a monograph on 'The English and their Monuments at Goa' (1877) has strong opinions on this sort of thing.

The burial-ground is used for rice cultivation, and the very
tombstones are worn down from the sharpening of native tools on them;
where not cultivated, it is overgrown with high, rank grass, said to be
alive with the deadly cobra de capello. If it be true, as I have heard,
that the Collector of Belgaum allows an annual sum to keep it in order,
I can assure him that not a pice-worth of care is bestowed on it ...
and I do not think it is desirable to do so, for if people who build
memorials over the remains of friends do not like to build deep and solid
foundations for tombs, and let inscriptions into deep side panels, with an
outside protection of plate-glass half an inch thick, they must expect
them to fall to decay with more or less rapidity; and it is absurd to

This may or may not help.

he two-tone cab features doors that can be opened to provide a modern workplace. The entire loading and unloading process of the garbage truck is controlled by a unique rotating wheel mechanism. The flexible support bracket, the same procedure is also possible for the waste container.

The process: the waste garbage cans are pushed into the console, then the waste is lifted and emptied. When the wheel is turned, it is sucked into the functional press mechanism, compressed and then transported into the waste container. This process is vividly represented through a viewing window.

The handle at the top of the waste bin is used to dump the waste. By turning this handle, the waste is transported back past the raised loading and unloading unit by means of a discharge chute. This truck has two small trash cans and treaded tires.

Seems to be; changed slightly between the 1900s 6" & 25" maps, to go south of not through the Albany Terrace buildings, resulting in the pronounced notch. Underlying 'why' question remains, although now it maybe focusses more on Albany Terrace than the church.

Donated to the city in 1966 but, afaics, sold off & split into flats since 2020.

Google Maps photo of The Knowe building in 2020, sans really bad planting.

Well-preserved Thomsonesque villa with Romanesque detailing and tower, 1/2 storeys, broad-eaved shallow- pitched gabled (slated) roofs of various levels, round-arched openings with rusticated arches, shafted mullions. Complex plan, original part roughly L-shaped with open porch; more than doubled in size by (lower)

additions (1855-8) to W and to N and extending E entrance front. Snecked stone-cleaned yellow rubble and ashlar dressings; mainly sash windows (original glazing); stacks mostly with Thomsonesque chimney cans. Tower is a storey higher, square lights below eaves, elaborate metal roof finial. Interior ornament also survives mainly intact. Billiards room added to W circa 1880.

Nice building; nothing a little inappropriate planting of fur trees won't fix.

Keystone guy vexed by kerning fail.

Closeup of a building frontage showing the keystone of an arch carved with a somewhat frowny face, and to the left a street sign which, roughly, reads "NELSON MANDEL A PL"

Is here, roughly.

'if' doing all the heavy lifting there. Presented with a case of maker borked my network, your magical argument is a pretend world in which a realised, evidenced failure does not exist. Your use cases are bollocks: why does it need a clock? will your home automation place a cup to catch the coffee?

The resolution seems like an unrecoverable pyrrhic victory. Big hand for the GPEW; clearly doesn't know its political arse from its elbow.

Thanks for that insight, Karl.

Holborn and St Pancras parliamentary constituency carving out the Holy Trinity Church (west side, notch below Regent's Park) because why exactly?

Outline in red of the Holborn and St Pancras parliamentary constituency, a thin portrait rectangle with wiggly sides, north of the Thames, on a light grey background map of the streets and buildings of the locality. A tiny but pronounced notch in the boundary is seen on its west side just below Regent's ParkMap of the Marylebone & Euston Roads running east-west, at their junction with the north-south Albany Road & Great Portland Street, centred on the outline of the Holy Trinity Church, which occupies the notch seen in the constituency map.

They might be divided by their reactions to that state's apartheid and genocide, and then second order reactions to their reactions; no? Rather more than by a Green party resolution? There was space in the cartoon frame to put that elephant in the room.

The paper is very specifically about the effect of AI on throughput by software development by/in firms. It is not about whatever you'd rather it be about, hence is not regarding your tree.
