in manhattan the L train announcements says “hello ladies and gentlemen” but in brooklyn it goes “hello passengers” and this is actually a hilarious bit
i think it’s fine for a form of art to not interest you i picked up a camera and gave myself a game putting shapes i like inside a rectangle so i’d have something to do with myself. i say what i want about the pursuit of that, but if you’re uninterested in the challenge, the result doesn’t matter
seems reasonable, honestly.
once in New Haven i went to a place which claimed to have invented the hamburger and i was served some ground beef on toast by a terrifyingly old man who misgendered me
the best thing you can do when you are sad is to go on bluesky dot application and demonstrate mental illness

i dunno what happened to me long ago but i have Maps and Street View autism and i'm making it everyone else's problem
today a friend showed me a photo of brooklyn from 10 years ago and 30 seconds later I turned my phone around and went "yeah that's this corner beneath Hewes St" and they went "huh that's wild," showed me another and i went "yeah that's astoria. here's that exact fire alarm callbox in the pic"

Tonight I'm sending another newsletter because I need somewhere to put all my photos. If you want to see them, and hear me talk a lot about how I dealt with being nervous and scared through photography, you can subscribe at newsletter.ultraviolet.photo
Typo isn’t helping but I promise I’m objectively right, I’ve thought about it for at least 5 minutes.
I’m sorry Cara but all my opinions are extremely correcy. Nevermind that my favorite camera never got a lens longer than a 90mm, that’s unrelated.
you’re different, you have my blessing
I would simply find a more immediately complex environment.
you have to oppose kitsch
Look if Emily’s out here tellin it like it is, I gotta be too.
Voyeurism is a form of cowardice, but please remove the value judgement because that’s fine if that’s what you’re into.
Telephoto lenses are for cowards who want to simplify complex environments.
